Create a Proof of Delivery Tracking Log (Court PDF)
A single PDF log makes it easier for judges to verify every shipment, status, and delivery outcome—no more flipping through dozens of carrier screenshots.
TL;DR
- Export CSVs or copy/paste rows from USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or e-commerce dashboards.
- Log every tracking number once instead of juggling screenshots or emails.
- Download a PDF with status counts, delivery rate, and page numbers for court exhibits.

Screenshots get rejected when timestamps or tracking numbers are cropped out. A consolidated log keeps every shipment in one document with consistent formatting and page numbers. You can attach the carrier PDFs in an appendix if the court requests them.
Carrier export tips
- USPS: In USPS Business Customer Gateway, export the tracking history CSV. Include columns for Class of Mail and Event Code for your notes.
- UPS: Download the Shipment Export from Quantum View or the Billing Center. Use the Tracking Number and Status columns.
- FedEx: In FedEx Reporting, export delivery details with scan events, then paste the main row into the log for quick review.
- DHL: Use the DHL Express eTrack export. If the spreadsheet uses semicolons, replace them with commas before uploading.
Statuses judges care about
Courts want to see if items were delivered, returned, refused, or still pending. If something is delayed, add a note with the carrier case number so the judge knows you followed up. For evidence packets, highlight rows that support your claim and include supporting emails in an appendix.
FAQs
- What if packages went missing?
- Mark them as Missing or Exception and note the carrier claim number and follow-up attempts.
- Can I log partial deliveries?
- Add a note indicating which items were delivered and which are pending; include the secondary tracking numbers.
- How do time zones affect tracking?
- Document the ship-from and delivery time zones in Notes so the court understands any apparent timing gaps.
- Where should I store proof of delivery signatures?
- Attach the carrier PDF or screenshot separately. In the log, note “Signature on file” with the recipient name so the judge knows it exists.
